Weighbridge Woes Weighs On Meghalaya CM Conard Sangma

Truckers, transporters and traders jointly stressed Meghalaya Chief Minister Conard Sangma to cease the system of unfair fees imposition at multiple sections of the weighbridges at NH-6 and NH-49E that are causing holes in their pocket.

Livelihood of these traders body have become painful as they at their own risk serve the country and the state during COVID pandemic feels it is also the responsibility of the Meghalaya state government to consider their matter as it is unethical to implement fees structure at several weighbridges.

According to this joint body the central and government of India declares these weighbridges in NH6 and NH 40E as illegal as per to the National Highway Act.
