In the attempt to bar tea import to stay competitive in the market the Indian tea manufacturers are soon to introduce appropriate sensor guided plucking device to sort out leaf quality problems.
Though all the stake holder of the tea industry are to protest on tea import to stop plaguing the Indian market the small tea growers (STG) are badly hit by low percentage of tea pluckers due to pandemic phase and could not maintain the plucking routine that is proving to be the biggest disadvantage.
