The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on to a strict note for the lapse shown by the two states Assam and Mizoram on border issues due to the recent spark of violence demanded to file their reports within four weeks time frame.
Under the complaint made by Md. Injamul Haque, NHRC has issued notices to the Union Home Secretary as well as the Chief Secretaries of Assam and Mizoram. Since the matter is grave with the killings of five people and injuring many causing damages to property in the Assam and Mizoram border, NHRC marked “grave violation of human rights” which need to be resolved soon. Relating to Assam and Mizoram boundary dispute the NHRC has issued notices to the Union Home Secretary and the Chief Secretaries of both the states.
