There is no doubt that Mizoram is expanding and economically developing fast but where aviation connectivity is concerned it has received a major blow with major abrupt in its services that has partially paralyzed its activities in all its major spheres where the state’s Chief Minister Zoramthanga had pointed the urgency of proper air network service in the region to the Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri.
This year initial on February the major airline service provider and the only connectivity point between Mizoram and to essential regions of India via Guwhati international airport by Jet Airways had hit hard state’s economy and air travelers’ woes when its service came to a stall.
Earlier the Mizoram Merchant Association (MIMA) body in the state had sought to state authority’s intervention into the matter to resume Aizwal to Guwahati flight service on terms of health and economic necessities.
Irregularities of price hike in air fares was recently stressed by Mizoram’s State Minister to India’s Civil Aviation Minister to pacify its travelers woes as due to it has intensified problems in accessing healthcare facilities from best centers outside the region apart from severe impact in trade relations.
Mizoram tourism took a major setback due to fall of air network services as the land has potential foreign visitors from all over the globe via air network. Aviation enhancement issue has further stressed the Mizoram Chief Minister to brainstorm for sufficient optional flight services to settle present public woes at best price to fight for their right.
