Nagaland On A New Library Strategy To Educate The Prisoners And Village


Nagaland has initiated a new library installation strategy in jails of Dimapur district where volunteers can personalize with jailed inmates by reading out to them to stir their attention on books so that they can elevate their minds from the negativity attached in imprisonment.


This educational plan through establish of library is initiated under Sarvahitey Vidya Vistar educational program which since April 2018 has been educating fifty financially weak students of all communities and also involved them in hygiene awareness factors on social welfare basis.


This KAL group’s new library initiative in association with Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) and a team of lawyers has made the layout of this educational programme to empower child’s right to know and ease of education.


NSLSA has initiated this programme in collaboration with NGO-Sophia Foundation to bring in opportunities for the greater unemployed in the state to become self reliant through soft skills development and vocational training.


Currently there are generous amount of book suppliers to support this mission of NSLSA to fund in books to each library in various district of Nagaland. NSLSA's success of this project would lead them to their the next mission to educate every villages of Nagaland with same implementation of method.
