Narcotic production activity is a major issue that is affecting the system of entire Northeast where Mizoram and Manipur also mapped along with Tripura that are affected by this evil in the system and in process of state progress due to which major action against narcotic farming has been progressed.
In comparative to 25 years regime of the former the Left Front government, today Tripura has seen major decline in narcotic activity after the 11 months impact of BJP lead Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) government's rule in the state by licensing the state police, Border Security Force (BSF) including other security agencies to take control of the drug world activities in the state with massive cease in narcotic supply.
To root out the evil in the system that is weakening progressive work of the state the Tripura's security forces had put a massive end to narcotic farming with destruction of 1,74,18,571 ganja saplings during short entry of BJP government in Tripura. Mafias operating outside the state are the main backbone in emphasis people of the state to narcotic framing so that its production could hit the drug demanding zones like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh for better fetch of price.
Under the
drug-free Tripura mission the Chief Minister Biblap Kumar Deb has initiated
profitable alternative farming schemes to the youth and narcotic farmers to
pursue better option like incentive based cash crops cultivation including
dairy, animal husbandry and poultry options.
