Recently disclosed Defence Research and
Development Organisation (DRDO), innovative food products to provide nutritious
foods to high terrain and border patrolling unit sounds more like for emergency
purpose when out of fresh stock of items.
In DRDO’s special innovative treat to
Indian Defence unit, lists chicken katti rolls, chicken biscuits, rich protein mutton
bar, cereal rich bars, protein rich egg biscuits, iron and protein composite
food bar including anti-fatigue tulsi bar.
But DRDO’s innovative food samples won’t be
supplied in bulk for distribution though it carries its Logo. As mentioned in written
reply by Arun Jaitley the Indian Defence Minister to the Lok Sabha, innovative delicious
and nutrition based food will be produced in bulk by the appointed industries for
tough climatic zones operating defence personnel.
DRDO’s special technologies designed to
invent smart nutrient items for armed forces will be allocated to the bulk food
producing appointed industries as per to the Indian Defence Minister Jaitely to
meet the necessity of supply.
Specially such food supplements are
required when due to pressure of climatic condition the security personnel have
to abstain from daily fresh food items and had to leave on alternative
readymade food or others to maintain nutrient level and at the same enjoyment
in having it.
