Now this is a major setback for travelers but especially for the long distance traders who finds their means to make
their earning through Shillong and Assam destinations by throwing their luggage on
tourist taxi and bus rooftop.
A penalty of Rs 1,500-2,000 will be
burdened on the law violator and eventually has streamlined numbers of
passenger from Shillong to Guwahati route. It’s already three weeks near about after
the implementation of the new rule and has shown its effect where even the
vehicle owners intensely feel it is an injustice on them as they clear their taxes
for it to the Meghalaya Government.
