Insecure future looms over
Assam Power Distribution Company Limited(APDCL) who is undergoing through
financial loss of 2 crores daily as they have to take aid of other agencies for
power distribution including lower turnover of demanded manpower plus
commercial loss.
Chief General Manager of
APDCL, Nikhilesh Barua stated though the current phase of distribution appears
stable the department internally undergoing through major problems due to
various issues.
Pointing out to remote area
function, APDCL faces shortage of qualified staff and have to engage local
people for meter reading and repairing lines during fault.
