Mizoram Main Aim To Make Rural Area Economically Sound

Under NEDP’s (New Economic Development Policy) the Mizoram Government has executed multiple plans for agri growth by uplifting rural areas to boost state's economy.


Rural infrastructure development is already on process and has much progressed for better livelihood of its people. Implementation of private-public partnerships policy has brought fruitful results to sectors like agricultural and horticultural including other productivity sources.


NEDP's core committee has consented to 27 proposals under its new policy for 2016-17 after review on it where already Rs. 250 crore has been sanctioned for multiple projects’ progress.

Key factors that are highlighted on NEDP's launch of new policy including agriculture and horticulture are development of link roads, high domestic consumption annual agriculture and horticulture including high-value crops, improved processing technique, enhance horticultural and agricultural product market network, handloom export growth and centres for various skill development.



Boost financial strength to 125,000 families through launch of Rs. 2,873 crore NLUP plan to build hope for monetary benefit to the poor by the Mizoram Government and will provide training so that rural people can ace in settled farming instead of taking to jhum diversification.
