In a fiery speed of action by the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation
and Conservation (CWRC) has come to the rescue of nature’s call for help,
recovered numerous Kaziranga animals from submerged state.
This CWRC body run by the joint effort of IFAW
(International Fund for Animal Welfare), WTI (Wildlife Trust of India) and
Assam Forest Department had currently contributed in 25 major wildlife rescue
operation.
There is a huge nursery area for CWRC to nurse the
tender age animals left abandoned in flood water. A rhino calf of three month was
rescued from the vicinity of a village near to Kaziranga Park and currently
attended in the nursery.
In a pathetic scenario CWRC members struggled hard to
survive the rescued animals with futile result. Thirteen hogs which were
rescued from abandoned state were attended in the nursery before releasing them
to safe area in the wildlife.
