Waterways Emphasis Further Boosted In Northeast For Economic Expansion

To boost economic growth in entire Northeast the Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inked six memorandums of understandings (MoUs) at the two day Waterways Conclave 2022 that was held in Chowkidinghee ground.

On the grand moment of waterways agreement Bhutan Minister of Economic Affairs Lyonpo Loknath  Ranjan Singh, Sharma, Dr Rajkumar, Manipur Minister of Water Resources Awangbo NewMai, Rameshwar Teli and representatives from Inland Waterways Authority of  India (IWAI) were also present. According to Union Minister of Waterways Sarbananda the main objective of inking these MoU pacts is to boost international trading with neighboring countries through waterways connection with North Eastern states.

Crime Peaks In Guwahati City

Crime in Guwahati city is increasing despite numerous cases of loot in holy shrines like Mandir and Namghar multiple cases of theft have been accounted in residential areas.

Dispur, Beltola, Hatigaon, Paltanbazar areas including many in Guwahati city  have witnessed spurt in theft cases especially daytime chain and mobile snatching. Growing price rise have made economically weak people to undertake such route.

BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro extent to collaborate with NEDFi (North East Development Finance Corporation Limited) so that their stakeholders and entrepreneurs are benefited.

ASRLM Conducts Three Day’ Boishakhi Mela’ In Silchar To Economically Boost Women

In the attempt to upgrade the livelihood of the Self Help Groups economically ASRLM ( Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission) has initiated a three day event ‘Asomi Boishakhi Mela’  in Silchar where SHGs’s products will be on display.

‘Asomi Boishakhi Mela’ venue which was taken place in opposite the District Sports Association in Silchar had a tremendous response on the first of the event where local and handmade items like edible items, hanloom, agarbattis etc were on display.
