Guwahati ‘Deepor Beel’ Despite Enviornment Threat Attracting More New Bird Species

Development  and human invasion in Deepor Beel one of the biggest water body of Guwahati, Assam  is fairly attracting more bird species which significance evaluated by Wildlife Division of Assam’s Forest Department.

Ramsar site Deepor Beel of Guwahati Assam reported to have captivated of about 26000 birds of 97 species as assessed by the Forest Division. Visual encounter and photography are one of the initiative by the Forest  Division of Guwahati to lock in visually the head counts of new bird species of Deepor Beel.
