The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on survey on Indo-Bangladesh border security measures was shocked at the reveal of government and Centre’s betrayal in its promise to seal completely the border as per to the vital clause of Assam Accord of 1985.
Assam border positioned in Dhubri district exposed fenceless border at the Gangadhar river in Binnachara area adjacent to Golakganj when a team of AASU went to visit pillar No. 1001 to 1031. AASU fears the worse on the coming days with exposure of fenceless border due to increasing growth of Jihadi infiltration cases. AASU blames the centre and Assam government for enabling strong roots of Jihadi in the system as crucial matter of infiltration could not be sealed after long time made commitment to state’s security.
