There is no investment and strategic outlay to control immediate flooding in major areas though boast of IIT when there is not a simple technology to control water logging in Guwahati metro.
Already the media has exposed illegal occupation and blockades in the water outlets of the city but the Bharatiya Janta Party’s concentration is only in economic growth. But how economy can grow without thinking for the welfare of the system of the state?
Today the drainage system if not had been neglected then today Guwahati would have been a healthy city. Still Guwahati city has time to recover if the departments works integrally as per to experienced people who have insight to improve the flood situation in Guwahati. In June intellectuals from various areas had given their strong suggestion to work out for flood free city but the Chief Minister Himanta was absorbed in statewide flood matter where even after a month he failed to show any participation in city’s growing issue.
