Assam Police To Tough On Virtual Crime?

Cyber Forensic Lab cum Training Center and Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System was recently launched in the wake of growing virtual crime by the Director General of Assam Police, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta

Under the Cyber Crime Prevention against Women and Children Scheme of Union Ministry of Home Affairs the Cyber Forensic Lab cum Training Centre was launched at Assam Police headquarters.

Cyber Police force is to gear up further in tackling virtual issues by arranging lab for training personnel on virtual crime investigation. Assam Police’s cyber forensic lab has been boosted further with GPS forensics, disk forensics, malware analyzer and mobile forensic. Assam Police have achieved overall improvement of Thana for Responsive Image Scheme.

 

Currently 245 of responsive kits to be distributed to 245 of police stations under the Mission of Overall Improvement of Thana for Responsive Image Scheme to modify the mode of crime reporting in Assam. Boost high end reporting on spot crime scene with enhanced technology based portable kits to claw the culprit so that the cases meet the round of justice without delay.
