Since the election campaign increasingly has become a case of monetary power, the rise of theft cases recognized to be potent during this phase of poll campaign in Assam and rest of India from past many decades where the entry of flying squad to regulate fair polling by confiscating money from riders on toe to support candidates to win votes, the thieves on the other hand are making their job tough.
In many parts of Assam there are unaccountable cases of robbery and huge financial siphon from bank including various other incidents of loot in different others sectors during the election phase. Jorhat district of Assam is set on alarm of bike robbery cases after two major attempts while multiple in rest other districts for the same poll purpose.
In one case a Jorhat lady had become a victim when she was on her way to withdraw money from the State Bank Of India realized that her bag containing Rs 1.5 lakh was snatched away by two motorbike miscreants on 5th April.
In another robbery case the same name plate bike bearers had made attempts to snatch Rs. 10 lakh from a businessman but had to lose the battle with the victim after driving him on foot till 25 feet distance. Both the incidents had occurred in Jorhat but many a places in Guwahati city and rest of Assam had accounted various similar experience.
