Arunachal Pradesh Govt's Tough Approach To Recover Revenue Loss From Illicit Wood Traders



Arunachal Pradesh on the quick survey on drop of its revenue profit from its flourishing wood trade had decided to issue penalty to those traders benefiting under its governance without providing any taxes under GST through implementation of DGGI investigation a Pan-India Intelligence group.
  

The Director General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) of Guwahati Zonal Unit had already swept it searches at 28 wood trading sectors of Arunachal Pradesh and will held falters in tax evasion cases like Service Tax, Central Excise, commercial and economic fraudulency including GST sectors.


Wood traders especially the unlicensed ones of Arunachal were enjoying profit for decades by evading taxes and had thought of getting away with new GST regime on wood products with 12.5 % charge and sawn timber of 5 to18 % tax.
