India’s 2nd Biggest Move In Asia To Be Marked Off On 25th December, 2018

Expanding horizon the India’s Prime Minister Narendar Modi will inaugurate Asia’s 2nd largest bridge the Bogibeel of 4.9km distance and above 35 meters high from the dangerous currents of mighty river Brahmaputra on 25th December for better waterway, rail and road network connectivity with extreme regions to take the economy of Northeast to another edge.

This biggest project of India which was conceived in 21st June 1977 and laid foundation by late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpaee during his regime, took almost 21 years to complete it due to lack of skilled people, manpower and materials on time. But now after its completion during Prime Minister Narendar Modi’s government the Bogibeel project has been enhanced with further technology and multiple features and as a respect to party’s former leader late Atal Bihari Vajpaee the inauguration of it is scheduled on his day of birth that falls on 25th Dec.

Now this Asia’s 2nd largest bridge which is to take face-lift on the auspicious day of Christmas on 25th December is featured with rail track below and three lane heavy duty vehicle road on top, connecting extreme regions like Dhemaji district and Arunachal’s central zone.

Bogibeel venture is estimated to be a dynamic one in Indian history of infrastructure development as it will boost as defense transaction point for better monitoring of China border area plus further business enhancement of Arunachal Pradesh, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia economic zones of Northeast.

This dream project of Northeast would not have been possible without the support of Railway authority of India which is the backbone in giving dimension to Bogibeel. In the process of bridge construction the Indian Railway has taken extra effort to launch a special seating car 14 coach train that is to be flagged off by the Prime Minister Modi.

Transit of Bogibeel train will take place from Tinsukia district through Dibrugarh district to Silapathar in Dhemaji district connecting Arunachal border area. This added feature of Bogibeel project can be the reason behind its prolonged delay.

Currently the Indian Railway will resume four trains and later will increase network as per to the requirement. This futuristic project is a great hope for Assam to overcome flood havoc in communication network. During Bogibeel bridge flagoff, the Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Arunachal Chief Minister will also grace the day along with PM Modi.
