Nagaland has grabbed few months global notice for wrong reasons due to numerous
consecutive display of violence and agitation acts that had cost their leader
Zeliang for which ZSUD (Zeliangrong Students’ Union of Delhi) initiated to step up against power politics play in the state.
According to ZSUD issued press release marked to end the play of power
politics in the state and emphasized equivalent opportunity to women candidate
of Nagaland to contest for the upcoming poll in March 4th and 8th.
The gender issue in Nagaland’s upcoming poll has spread virally beyond state’s
boundary and has driven negative reaction across the globe towards Naga
community.
ZSUD insisted that it is high time that people of Nagaland unite against
the encouragement of such political practices with the ‘minor tribe’ for the
grace of the society as such act is disgraced globally.
As a sincere prayer ZSUD marked to the Naga community that they sport more maturity by
forbidding such act of gender priority and frequent erect of violence that
disrupts peace and moral integrity of people and progress process.
