Meghalaya Resume Back Its Long Lost Smile After Indo-Bangla Land Swap Execution


Inspection on Bangladesh border areas which is going on effectively in Northeast to set off the decades old issue on proper fencing between two nations has brought the lost smiles on Meghalaya people back when the partitioned Pyrdiwah and Lyngkhat including large portion of Tamabil included in its territory.


Interestingly Lyngkhat’s football field of Meghalaya which was parted in half during Bangladesh partition has now came into full picture after the land swap deal. A large portion of Tamabil area which is included in Meghalaya territory will now become an Integrated Check Post.



The process of demolition of existent pillars for re-alignment of border line including repairs as directed by Meghalaya BSF is on execution. Next target is Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya that shares space with Bangladesh border.
