After the sensational climax match between
tough competitors Elite Football Club who grounded PWD Youth Organisation's (PWDYO)
hope with 1-0 win at the 22nd edition of Classic Cup on Thursday at Kohima, the
president of Classic Club, K Neibu Sekhose mentioned that skills and creativity
dominates football more than energy display.
Sekhose aims to position the Classic Cup
which was introduced in 1995 in better highlight to boost the talented players
into its arena and bring laurels to the state, moreover create significance in
this domain. On account of this world's most popular sport football, Sekhose
feels that more than energy driven play it is a game purely based on skills and
creativity.
In this edition match between Elite FC and
PDDYO, Sekhose distributed cash award of Rs. 1.50 lakhs to the winner whereas
Rs. 80 lakhs for the runners-up including Rs. 2 lakhs for individual prize
winning performance.
