To gear up for the nearing monsoon Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman reviewed on the preparedness on possible flood with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to undertake situation during the call of emergency.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman instructed proper repair and strengthening of roads, embankments and bridges which can pose threat during massive flood to Water Resources and Public Works Departments. Even Power and Agriculture Departments were asked to take possible measures to secure lives and food stocks for minimal losses.
