Meghalaya
as a state has a pool of talented sports people, specialised for various games
but as of now the primary focus of Shillong sports department is to nurture
football players to qualify for the biggest national to international openings
through the launch of ‘Mission Football.’
In a
small place like Meghalaya where good perk job openings are frail, sports career
is a better bet for decent livelihood and to give better future to the football
enthusiasts Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has introduced ‘Mission Football’ on
22nd July Saturday.
This
sports program which was launched capital city’s JN Sports Complex in grandeur
manner, Dr Mukul Sangma highlighted that it is in the foray to build greater network
between state’s pool of talented football players with global football
communities to endure the passion of this game.
It is
in the dedication of creating the right sports environment with competitive
outlook for state’s potential football players to nurturer them in the right
direction to map Meghalaya as global power house of quality players.
