The budget hearing which was much awaited by women of Assam
comes to an end with a raising outline on their lips with happiness when
Himanta brought to light 2016-17 budget, processed under joint effort with
Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal.
Declared to extend earlier Tarun Gogoi’s 30% reservation to
women in government jobs to 35%. This decision is exercised to emphasis on
gender equality in the government sector. Including fee exempt for class X to
University level female student. Two wheeler scooty provision for female
students residing 15 kms far from their college as per to BJP’s “Assam Nirman” project
in making Assam as A category state in India.
