Will Guwahati Witness Clean Market Areas?

Multiple public complains to Guwahati Municipal led finally to eviction of encroachers to help combat traffic congestion issues that occurred due to illegal street hawkers and vendors occupation of popular market area like Fancy Bazaar.

GMC eviction drive was conducted at S.S. Road, T.R.P. Road, Kedar Road, Chambar Road and M.S. Road due to no response from the encroachers who had been notified on 7^th July. Unlicensed vendors, shopkeepers and hawkers were implemented with strict penalty also.

This initiative of eviction drive was jointly conducted by the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), Kamrup MetroDistrict Administration and City Commissioner of Police. Aditya Gogoi Municipal secretary & i/c Collector (Enforcement  Branch) took this major step against illegal hawkers and vendors settled in busy Guwahati market place in Fancy Bazaar.

Arunachal CM Khandu Calls For Result Oriented Action

Chief Minister Pema Khandu taking on to NEC (The North East Council) emphasized on the key areas to be developed with result oriented layouts for the state rather than acting as funding agency.

NEC Secretary K Moses when called upon the Arunachal CM Pema Khandu, evaluation on dynamic changes was concentrated as the state has not delivered expected results to improve Northeast states.

Pema Khandu believes that NEC did not implement funds properly as of now nothing concrete output has come out as targeted. Further emphasized that proper roadmap should be made by NEC for greater transformation of North east as during the tenure of Narender Modi’s Prime Ministership they have the power to do so.

Development of Northeast states could be possible if NEC plays a pivotal role as an institutional anchor and mentorship of plans for proper outlay of comprehensive development.

CeSRAC’s Responsible Alcohol Consumer Campaign

In an initiative to make alcohol consumer act more responsible and safe, CeSRAC (Centre For Safe Responsible Alcohol Consumption) in aid with National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) launched a consumer empowerment program. Under thisCeSRAC and NRAI campaign program will target 100 restaurants in metros of India with pilot programs,

 

‘Assuring Safety of Alcoholic Beverages at the Market Place’ by using Technology and Stakeholder Collaboration’ an E-forum was organized by CeSRAC to highlight on advance and validated technologies for authenticity of IMFL (Wines and Spirits) including traditional liquors, targeting government officials, consumers and sellers.

FM Sitharam On India’s Key Economic Recovery

India’s present key economic rate is depend on technology integration with service delivery according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam.

FM Sitharam in a virtual session at the second round of ongoing ‘G20 Finance Ministers & Central Bank Governors Meeting’ cited the necessity of economic recovery during COVID-19 pandemic phase.

                               First Roar From Northeast, Radha Govinda Baruah

Radha Govinda Baruah (17th October 1900- 15th July 1977) was the first in Northeast  India, to roar the voice of people in print with introduce of first weekly newspaper from Dibrugarh, Assam on 4th August, 1939.

                                                                                                                                                               

The 'Lion Man' Radha Govinda when published his first weekly newspaper along with ace editor Lakshminath Phookan (worked in leading Kolkata daily) then was constituted of seven states ; today recognized as sovereign bodies.

 

In 1930’s literary rate in Assam was on to flickering extent with few population of English literate due to which Radha Govinda had to battle hard to make ‘Assam Tribune’ market stronger.

‘Assam Tribune’ was well appreciated and reckoned by the state’s influential organizations due to which it got sponsorship that helped Radha Govinda to elevate his weekly paper to daily version in 30^th September, 1946.

 

Enthusiasm of Radha Govinda was unstoppable and batted to go further length to introduce vernacular newspaper ‘Dainik Assam’ in 4^th August, 1965 along with noted journalist Kirtinath Hazarika. ‘Dainik Assam’ persists to survive when other newspapers in this stream of local language made its exit.

 

RG Baruah was instrumental in taking Assamese culture and sports to great height apart from educational development to enhance literacy due to which he is reckoned famously as the ‘architect of modern Assam’. Acute sports lover Radha Govinda remained as the president of Assam Cricket association for about a decade. Many sports infrastructures and even roads are named after him.

                                            Zubeen Garg A Man Beyond Melody

 

A starlit child Zubeen Garg came to the world of Illy Borthakur and Mohini Borthakur who named him after the famous musician Zubin Mehta. As if the poet in Mohini Borthakur knew a star was born in their family to take far ahead his  profession.

Zubeen Garg was quite good in studies and pursued science stream at degree level. He realized that it was too late he came to know about his dram and dropped his studies to become an ace singer and music director.

ZubeenGarg lent his first melodious voice for the album ‘Anamika’ in 1992 before peaking high to give some more award winning music and songs. But fairly knew that a director was there in him. He experimented much later his film direction success with the release of ‘Mission China’ that broke box office record. Later Zubeen showed his potentiality to direct a critical play ‘Kanchanjunga’ that earned him critic’s attention.

Intoxicated in music and drinks for which he became popular in media, there existed humane in Zubeen Garg apart from his star image that exploded whenever Assam was in trouble. Be it flood or COVID-19 pandemic or CAA he represented as the voice of Assam to the world to save the state from its turmoil.

Daring nature of Zubeen Garg always put him to the limelight for a cause. Intense humanity of Zubeen turned eyes in awe when he donated his house in Kahalipara as a COVID care center. We could see Zubeen Garg next as a politician who has the immensity to mobilize people during CAA. Now what is not in Zubeen beyond his melody songs? Which field he needs to explore?

This icon of versatile talent is next to the legendary figure Bhupen hazarika as Zubeen Garg almost have all the qualities to the phenomenal figure of Assam. Except Bhupen Hazarika literary quality is par excellence that ever any lyricist of his caliber exist today.

Zubeen is exception in music instrumentation with the ability to play 14 instruments. Be it guitar, keyboard, dhol, drums, table, mandolin and various percussion instrument, Zubeen is an ace player. Zubeen Garg is well known in Bollywood Indian film industry for giving ace music. Apart from Hindi, Assamese and Bengali Zubeen Garg delivered hit songs in various vernacular medium.
